Sketch #89

Hey everyone! How's it going? Are you starting to make New Years resolutions already after munching on all the Halloween candy. Im trying to be good but its not working very well! Just wanted to show you this simple & quick layout I did for the latest sketch at The Scrappiest. I dont think circles will ever go out of style! When I use circles, they always seem to end up being my favorite pages. I got stuck on what else to add....maybe I will add more later, but I kinda really love the simplicity of it too.

Come join us at The Scrappiest. You will be entered for a chance to win this great prize pack from Stash to Treasure. Thanks for stopping by. Have a great week!

Hello Life!

Hey Everyone! I'm still alive...barely. Ive been sick for the last couple days, I just love winter colds....before winter! At least the kids haven't been sick...yet. Here is a couple layouts I have managed to sneak in for my Design Team work at The Scrappiest! Both of them are done with kits from Transparent Touches & Tags! I just love fall! These are both about my little man Trent...I still call him my baby but he doesn't like that. I captured this adorable moment with him & his cousin. This picture became a instant all-time favorite! (sorry about the bad scan)

I hid the journaling behind the picture on this one. He wanted this shirt when we went school shopping, and I instantly said No. I don't know why, I guess it was so loud & colorful (the pictures are very muted)...even so my friend had to tease & called him rainbow bright. But seeing his face I knew he LOVED this shirt, and I thought....well it is actually very cute, and I knew he would be adorable in it. So we got it, he wanted so badly to wear it the 1st day of school, but it wasn't cool enough yet. So the 1st crisp fall day came & he had it on. I had to laugh when I seen this shirt in the Kohls add after we bought it. I guess my boys got more style than me! (which isn't that hard to do! lol)

Thanks for stopping by! I hope I can find some time to stop by everyone's blogs soon. But for now I have to go make dinner!

My Charmer

Here's another layout of my oldest Mason. He usually gives me the cheesiest grins but I have learned the trick with him is to just get him to laugh about something, usually teasing him about his cheesy grin works. Then I get these adorable shots of him. I bought a fixed 50mm lens for my photography class & I LOVE it! I wish I had this lens 4 years ago when I first bought my Canon Rebel, I also wish I would've taken a class a long time ago too! Its so worth it to actually have the knowledge to take the pictures you want to take in your head......but I need to get on that picture taking part. I am behind in class...whoops. So much to do lately!

I used the latest sketch from Liz at The Scrappiest & I loved this kit from Transparent Touches! Sorry bout the bad scan!

I (heart) school layouts!

School layouts are my  favorite layouts to do! I always love this new beginning for them. I can see their happiness & nervousness about their big day. I always have to get pictures of the new shoes & bags. Im the paparazzi mom who makes them go out early so we can spend 10min taking pictures. Yeah, they will get over it...someday!
I only have 1 school layout done though, a couple more to go, but I am SOOOOO lovin the Simple Stories Elementary Line from Memory Works! I just wish I would've bought more of it because both sides are literally so great I cant choose! I used another awesome sketch from Liz at The Scrappiest! Did I ever mention how much I love her sketch's!

Sorry for the blurriness, I must have made the file size to small.
Thanks for stopping by....I'm off to go study for my real estate classes, my 1st one was last night & my brain is now on overdrive. With that being said I didn't get any sleep...so maybe I will crawl back in bed instead! lol

The Scrappiest #82

Here is a layout I did for The Scrappiest. I REALLY loved this sketch! It was not something  I would've come up with on my own. I don't tend to leave a lot of negative space on my layouts, but I always love the look of it. This would've been a good layout to play with some of my mist but I never thought about it until now! Its a pretty simple layout, but I didn't think I needed to add a lot with that cutie pie!

Well I started my Maggie Holmes Photography class that I won from Peachy Cheap! How exciting right!(I love that place, If you have never been there, go bookmark it!) They had the drawing on their facebook fan page. I am now on week 3 and its awesome. She totally explains everything in a way I understand, & I think I can now start using MANUAL all the time! Woohoo! Now If only I had a audience that wasn't annoyed by my "paparazzi" camera....as my brother calls it.

I also have another exciting learning endeavor. I am going to start Real Estate classes soon. It has been something I have wanted to do for a long time and now the boys are all in school. I'm hoping I can put forth the time to do this...(If they aren't sick all winter, its already starting!). I know it will take a lot of time, and hard work for no pay....lol. It will be a challenge, but I am ready for it. I am so excited to learn something new! Wish me luck!

I know I don't tell you girls enough but thanks for stopping by & leaving comments. I love "seeing" your faces, and I try my best to stop by your blogs. I honestly need to limit the blogs I follow....there's too many & that makes it so hard to keep up, but I love reading everyone's blogs....so anyways THANKS friends!

My Scrap "Room"

I thought I would share my re-vamped scrap area with you girls! I am always changing my area. It is part of our, guess what you could call a den, but its more like a enclosed porch. The room, is long & narrow & has 13 windows! I love this room, but you cant put anything on the walls. I did have a desk but I moved that to the other end & is now used for our computer. The tv was in a big old ugly entertainment center that I wanted to get rid of. I mainly use it to workout, or the kids watch movies out here sometimes. I would like to just get a small flat screen eventually.

So Anyways, my mother-in-law went into the nursing home & when we cleaned up her house I found this most awesome old formica table. (I should've taken a better picture). It has all these black, silver & gold asterisks all over it. I LOVE this table! The leaves on both sides can be raised If I ever have someone else over. I also found this dresser, & I turned my nose up at it. But I kept thinking about it....I knew it had a ton of space & would work great for storing my scrap stuff. Then we got our new van with stow-n-go and I just had totry it out! With the help of my hubby we went and rescued this dresser. It is missing one drawer in this picture because my hubby forgot it...whoops. I took the picture anyways, I needed to start painting before I lost my mojo.

So Anyways, here is the finished results of my Scrap "Room".....There is more. I do also have a old shelf thingy that holds my albums & my cricut on top, but I need to eventually purchase something better to hold my albums because I have too many!

Our house is on the market, so who knows maybe somebody I could have a real room, but I am more than happy with the space I have right now. I think I would really love to have a Scrapbox. I seen one of these in person at a Scrapbook Expo & I really loved it. Does anyone have one of these?

Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek!

The Scrappiest #81

Hello Everyone! Here is the latest sketch from Liz at The Scrappiest. She is probably regretting having me on the design team right now! 2 weeks ago I sent her the wrong sketch, now this week I sent her a email with the layout NOT attached. So If you go over and check it out I might not be on there but the other design teams work is awesome!

I feel like my brain is on sensory overload right now! Last week I was trying to clean up my computer because It was running slow and ended up wiping out my vacation pictures. I was not to happy. I didn't even realize I deleted them and I defraged my computer which ruined them. But today, thanks to Recuva.com I was able to retrieve most of them from my camera's memory card. Yeah!

Hope everyone's had a better week than me! Thanks for stopping by!
