Seriously Cool!

Okay so I'm behind the ball as usual! Lately, I kind of just feel like I am grabbing the ball and just hanging on for dear life. I have something I think is pretty darn cool to share....(I should of shared it a month ago)...but hey I am now!

I did these layouts for a awesome new iPhone/ iPod sketch app! How many times have you been to a crop or just even at home & you want some inspiration? Well here it is...right on your phone! If you have a iPhone/iPad you can check it out & dowload it here. It is called Sketches 2 Scrapbook. It gives you 100 different sketches to choose from with a example layout for every one!  I am so grateful that Anam asked me and a whole bunch of other talented ladies to provides layouts for her awesome sketches!

This might be one of my all time favorites. I forgot how much I love 2pagers! But really its my favorite because my boys are so adorable!

I know Ive been a super bad blogger, but now I am off to scrapbook....yes I said it...I am scrapbooking tonight! Its been weeks which is way to long for me to not get my craft on! lol
Thanks for stopping by and stay warm....and for those with nice weather...I don't want to hear about it! I pretend it is snowing everywhere in the world!

Sketch #89

Hey everyone! How's it going? Are you starting to make New Years resolutions already after munching on all the Halloween candy. Im trying to be good but its not working very well! Just wanted to show you this simple & quick layout I did for the latest sketch at The Scrappiest. I dont think circles will ever go out of style! When I use circles, they always seem to end up being my favorite pages. I got stuck on what else to add....maybe I will add more later, but I kinda really love the simplicity of it too.

Come join us at The Scrappiest. You will be entered for a chance to win this great prize pack from Stash to Treasure. Thanks for stopping by. Have a great week!

Hello Life!

Hey Everyone! I'm still alive...barely. Ive been sick for the last couple days, I just love winter colds....before winter! At least the kids haven't been sick...yet. Here is a couple layouts I have managed to sneak in for my Design Team work at The Scrappiest! Both of them are done with kits from Transparent Touches & Tags! I just love fall! These are both about my little man Trent...I still call him my baby but he doesn't like that. I captured this adorable moment with him & his cousin. This picture became a instant all-time favorite! (sorry about the bad scan)

I hid the journaling behind the picture on this one. He wanted this shirt when we went school shopping, and I instantly said No. I don't know why, I guess it was so loud & colorful (the pictures are very muted)...even so my friend had to tease & called him rainbow bright. But seeing his face I knew he LOVED this shirt, and I thought....well it is actually very cute, and I knew he would be adorable in it. So we got it, he wanted so badly to wear it the 1st day of school, but it wasn't cool enough yet. So the 1st crisp fall day came & he had it on. I had to laugh when I seen this shirt in the Kohls add after we bought it. I guess my boys got more style than me! (which isn't that hard to do! lol)

Thanks for stopping by! I hope I can find some time to stop by everyone's blogs soon. But for now I have to go make dinner!

My Charmer

Here's another layout of my oldest Mason. He usually gives me the cheesiest grins but I have learned the trick with him is to just get him to laugh about something, usually teasing him about his cheesy grin works. Then I get these adorable shots of him. I bought a fixed 50mm lens for my photography class & I LOVE it! I wish I had this lens 4 years ago when I first bought my Canon Rebel, I also wish I would've taken a class a long time ago too! Its so worth it to actually have the knowledge to take the pictures you want to take in your head......but I need to get on that picture taking part. I am behind in class...whoops. So much to do lately!

I used the latest sketch from Liz at The Scrappiest & I loved this kit from Transparent Touches! Sorry bout the bad scan!

I (heart) school layouts!

School layouts are my  favorite layouts to do! I always love this new beginning for them. I can see their happiness & nervousness about their big day. I always have to get pictures of the new shoes & bags. Im the paparazzi mom who makes them go out early so we can spend 10min taking pictures. Yeah, they will get over it...someday!
I only have 1 school layout done though, a couple more to go, but I am SOOOOO lovin the Simple Stories Elementary Line from Memory Works! I just wish I would've bought more of it because both sides are literally so great I cant choose! I used another awesome sketch from Liz at The Scrappiest! Did I ever mention how much I love her sketch's!

Sorry for the blurriness, I must have made the file size to small.
Thanks for stopping by....I'm off to go study for my real estate classes, my 1st one was last night & my brain is now on overdrive. With that being said I didn't get any sleep...so maybe I will crawl back in bed instead! lol

The Scrappiest #82

Here is a layout I did for The Scrappiest. I REALLY loved this sketch! It was not something  I would've come up with on my own. I don't tend to leave a lot of negative space on my layouts, but I always love the look of it. This would've been a good layout to play with some of my mist but I never thought about it until now! Its a pretty simple layout, but I didn't think I needed to add a lot with that cutie pie!

Well I started my Maggie Holmes Photography class that I won from Peachy Cheap! How exciting right!(I love that place, If you have never been there, go bookmark it!) They had the drawing on their facebook fan page. I am now on week 3 and its awesome. She totally explains everything in a way I understand, & I think I can now start using MANUAL all the time! Woohoo! Now If only I had a audience that wasn't annoyed by my "paparazzi" camera....as my brother calls it.

I also have another exciting learning endeavor. I am going to start Real Estate classes soon. It has been something I have wanted to do for a long time and now the boys are all in school. I'm hoping I can put forth the time to do this...(If they aren't sick all winter, its already starting!). I know it will take a lot of time, and hard work for no pay....lol. It will be a challenge, but I am ready for it. I am so excited to learn something new! Wish me luck!

I know I don't tell you girls enough but thanks for stopping by & leaving comments. I love "seeing" your faces, and I try my best to stop by your blogs. I honestly need to limit the blogs I follow....there's too many & that makes it so hard to keep up, but I love reading everyone's blogs....so anyways THANKS friends!

My Scrap "Room"

I thought I would share my re-vamped scrap area with you girls! I am always changing my area. It is part of our, guess what you could call a den, but its more like a enclosed porch. The room, is long & narrow & has 13 windows! I love this room, but you cant put anything on the walls. I did have a desk but I moved that to the other end & is now used for our computer. The tv was in a big old ugly entertainment center that I wanted to get rid of. I mainly use it to workout, or the kids watch movies out here sometimes. I would like to just get a small flat screen eventually.

So Anyways, my mother-in-law went into the nursing home & when we cleaned up her house I found this most awesome old formica table. (I should've taken a better picture). It has all these black, silver & gold asterisks all over it. I LOVE this table! The leaves on both sides can be raised If I ever have someone else over. I also found this dresser, & I turned my nose up at it. But I kept thinking about it....I knew it had a ton of space & would work great for storing my scrap stuff. Then we got our new van with stow-n-go and I just had totry it out! With the help of my hubby we went and rescued this dresser. It is missing one drawer in this picture because my hubby forgot it...whoops. I took the picture anyways, I needed to start painting before I lost my mojo.

So Anyways, here is the finished results of my Scrap "Room".....There is more. I do also have a old shelf thingy that holds my albums & my cricut on top, but I need to eventually purchase something better to hold my albums because I have too many!

Our house is on the market, so who knows maybe somebody I could have a real room, but I am more than happy with the space I have right now. I think I would really love to have a Scrapbox. I seen one of these in person at a Scrapbook Expo & I really loved it. Does anyone have one of these?

Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek!

The Scrappiest #81

Hello Everyone! Here is the latest sketch from Liz at The Scrappiest. She is probably regretting having me on the design team right now! 2 weeks ago I sent her the wrong sketch, now this week I sent her a email with the layout NOT attached. So If you go over and check it out I might not be on there but the other design teams work is awesome!

I feel like my brain is on sensory overload right now! Last week I was trying to clean up my computer because It was running slow and ended up wiping out my vacation pictures. I was not to happy. I didn't even realize I deleted them and I defraged my computer which ruined them. But today, thanks to Recuva.com I was able to retrieve most of them from my camera's memory card. Yeah!

Hope everyone's had a better week than me! Thanks for stopping by!

The Scrappiest #78

Wow School has finally started, yippee! I really give big credit for mothers who home school. They are amazing! I really dont know If I could do it. My baby is in Kindergarten this yr, Im sad but I'm also looking forward to getting some time for myself! Maybe I can actually fit in a haircut every now & then!

Well here is a layout I did for The Scrappiest.  These were pictures from vacation. Im thinking If our yard was nothing but sand they may have not been forced to go outside to play this summer. They really loved these "diggers" or whatever they are called.
Come play along with us, this months sponsor is from Crazy Daisy Kits.

The Scrappiest #77

What a fun Sketch this was to work with. Still not sure If Im going to leave my layout as a circle. I just put the brown behind it when I scanned it. How many of you do circle layouts? I know they are popular but sometimes I have a hard time just leaving it a circle.
Make sure to check out the other work at The Scrappiest, I really feel privileged, those girls are soooo talented!

My boys so proud, it was his 5th Birthday and he caught the "catch" of the day. Wish the pole wasn't in his face but it was the best pic I had. Thanks for stopping by!

BIG GIVE-AWAY

It must be Fri the 13th because I just posted twice in one day! I don't know why Patty is requiring me to divulge this info., I really don't want to share because the less you know the better chance I have. Well I guess I will be a good sport, Hop on over to Patty's Blog & check out her generous give-away. And If your new to her blog make sure you check out her work. She really has no clue how talented she really is....or she just hasn't been "found" yet! Good Luck!

Wanted to share

Just wanted to share a couple more layouts I did with the Transparent Touches & Tags kit this month. Monica posted my layouts up on the blog, so I guess that means I can share them now!  Did I mention how much I loved this kit, the foil lace was really fun too & I love the way it looked scanned in....so colorful! Thanks for stopping by!

Today is a Good Day!

I can finally share with you all the layouts I have been working on. Well a couple anyways, I will post more in a couple days.
August has been a exciting "scrappy" month for me. Monica at Transparent Touches asked me to Guest Design with one of the August kits. I totally loved this Fancy Pants, Like Father Like Son line. I ended up doing  4 layouts about this one trip so sorry about the repeat of clothing....really I just dont like to do laundry! ;)
I really love her kits, she has 3 to chose from every month so I can always find one I am sure to fall in love with!

For this SuperHero layout the paper was almost all one color, not alot of dimension. I used my mist and painted on the orange swirls and I also painted in the title and added some color around the edges. It was perfect for this paper that already had a watercolor effect to it. Doesn't my boy just look like a little Diego adventurer. So cute!

For my next big happy moment I wanted to share with you that I am on THE SCRAPPIEST design team! The new design team is amazing & she had over 100 entries to chose from so I feel super excited that she picked me. I have really enjoyed using sketches and Liz has some really great ones & she always has fun prizes every month. So I hope you stop over and play with us sometime! Here is the 1st layout I have done. Its pretty simple not my most favorite. It was late at night and I was struggling with my mojo.....ya know how that goes. Plus my sewing machine decided not to work again! I really just need to buy a new one. Thanks for stopping by!

Farewell

Pout, Pout, My time at Twisted Sketches is up but I am sure I will continue to play with Anam's great sketches.....and hopefully be on a new design team....keeping my fingers crossed. The new design team at TS is posted and they are all fantastic. So much great diversity.

This layout almost did not happen. I was having so many problems with my computer...printing photos, scanning it in.... If a baseball bat was near It might have been in a million little pieces. Isn't technology such a pain sometimes! Anyways...I could go on, but I won't!

The twist was "joy". When I seen this picture all I could see was pure joy in my babies face. There was a couple more cute pics that I wanted to add...but hence my printer would not print them...at least I got the best one.

I do have some exciting news about something I get to do next month....but I don't know If I can share yet....let's just say I will be awaiting the arrival of something in the mail! Just wish I had a cute mailman....hehe kidding honey. ;)

Thanks for dropping by, I always love comment's, so If your a blog stalker...stop stalking and leave a comment! :)

My favorite twist yet!

Ok So my Design Team Term is coming to a end at Twisted Sketches. I have one more sketch left to do....pout...pout. This weeks twist was "Star"...I thought how appropriate.....and easy for me! I decided to do a layout of myself and my new haircut! I really liked the clean and simple lines of this sketch along with all the negative space.  ....oh and did you see I got my sewing machine working again. That thing really has a mind of its own....but I cant seem to live without it lately!
Thanks for stopping by!
Sorry If I haven't been by your blog lately, Im so behind on blog surfing!

My son-shine

Here is a layout I did with the newest Twisted Sketches Sketch. The twist was 'sunshine'. This was a easy one for me since we just got back from vacation. I used some old Fancy Pants, I loved this line but still had some leftover. There isnt as much detail as I would have liked....the power cord is now not working on my sewing machine....pout...pout. I love this lullaby & It is always my favorite to sing to them & what a great opportunity to get this story in their albums!

So our vacation was amazing! We didn't want to come back home. The very first day it was storming so I did get this layout done. It was a old funny picture I had. Nothing to great, I didn't bring much with me. But I can say I got 1 done anyways. The rest of the time we were busy or I was engrossed in my new book "The Host" by Stephanie Meyers. It was a great beach read. Well I hope everyone summer is going well. I would post some vacation pics but Im sure you will see them scrapped soon enough!

Thanks for stopping and leaving comments, I love them!

Twisted Sketches #55

This weeks twist from Twisted Sketches is flag. You should really check out the design teams work, they did an amazing job...so many cute flags & banners. I seen these pictures I wanted to scrap and they had all the right colors of the U.S. flag so that was the direction I was heading....then....I realized I had this umbrella & rain paper...and it kind of went from there. So the concept got lost but I still love the ending result!
This layout I did for a contest at Transparent Touches using a Becky Fleck sketch and mostly TTkits. I am lovin jillibean soup, arent you?
We will be going on vacation in 3 days....I'm really thinking I'm going to bring some kits, pics & tools...don't know If I will get anything done....I know its vacation, but I haven't gotten much done at home lately. It is going to be 1wk of laid back summer days at a beach house, so I might get some done. Do any of you scrap while on vacation?

Twisted Sketch #53

Another awesome Twisted Sketch, with the twist being "Acrylic". So I whipped out my paint and painted some chipboard. Its been awhile since I did that! I couldnt wait to scrap this picture of my baby boy turning 5. He looked so cute in his hat from school with his ears folded down and that adorable grin he carries for most of the day! Thanks for stopping by and I hope you come join us at Twisted Sketches!

Twisted Sketches #51

Hey all, another 2 weeks has gone by and I haven't gotten much craft time in...:(. Im going to try and get more done this week, I have some awesome kits that need to get played with. The twist this week at Twisted Sketches was "new", I could have went a million directions with this one....but seeing I just had a new Transparent Touches kit to play with, that is the new I used! Hope everyone is having a good start to their summer! Thanks for stopping by!

Twisted Sketches #49

Has it been 2 weeks already since my last post! The last couple months have been flyin by! The kids will be out of school soon. I am looking forward to vacation!
Another great sketch is up at Twisted Sketches, come check it out and play along! The twist is "color", I just decided I would use lots of bold colors for it....like I usually do! I finally remembered to buy needles so this is the first time I have ever hand-stitched a layout. It did not take as long as I thought and I LOVE how it turned out. Thanks for stopping bye!

Twisted Sketches #47

Anam has another great sketch up at Twisted Sketches! This week the twist is "clean". This instantly made me think of the boys room actually being clean for once! I have been doing alot of work, I repainted the bedroom and I had fun painting their "circa 1960's" dressers. I end up going with never fail boy colors! Thanks for stopping bye, sorry If I haven't visited everyone's blog lately. I have been so busy getting the house cleaned up, the for sale sign is in our yard. Now I just keep praying for a buyer!

Twisted Sketches #45

Another great sketch up over at Twisted Sketches!
The Twist is "Laugh". When I seen this picture, I knew it was perfect, this makes us laugh all the time! Trent has such a huge belly, and he loves showing it to us....can you tell? We tell him he looks like he ate a basketball. One day he said he named his belly Drummy.....I thought because it rhymed with tummy, but then he started pounding on it and said "see, it's my drum".....clever!

Back Porch Memories

I can finally reveal more of my layouts I have done with the Back Porch Memories kit this month! It was a awesome kit, and I am so appreciative that I was picked to Guest Design this month! Surprisingly I have been in all of the layouts...when does that happen? It did lean a little more to the girly side, so I guess It was time to get in the layouts! It was a nice change of pace to work with some more feminine colors, but I have to tell ya, I struggle with flowers. I love the look of tons of flowers, but I tried hard to pull it off and I couldn't! Well thanks for stopping by & leaving comments! It makes my day!

Twisted Sketches #41

Happy Saint Patty's Day everyone!

So I totally forgot to send my kids to school in green, but nobody seems to have come home bruised, so thats good!

Here is my layout I did for Twisted Sketches. Anam is so smart the twist was green & It didn't even dawn on me that she planned it because its on St. Patty's! So here is my "green" twist. My son was not happy because his brothers toys had included a bell and his did not.......if you read the journaling, yes I screwed up, It did not print it all and ofcourse I didn't even notice till the layout was done. Oh well!

(I am really lovin this crate paper line, so much better in person!)
Thanks for stopping by!
