HIllbilly Swimming Pool!

I haven't posted much because It doesn't feel like we have very much "Big" news, but just like the title of my blog our life is filled with all the little moments that matter most. I have actually been feeling like I didn't have many events to scrapbook, but after looking through my photos I realized there are many just this last month to catch up on. One of my favorites is Our Hillbilly Swimming Pool, the boy's idea of course! Apparently a sandbox was not fun enough, so they took it upon themselves to fill it with water.
I thought catching Trent falling was too cute!

We even found fun on the big rock piles here in town, but then we were told to leave by the police officer.....my goodness they were just being boys playing in rocks!
I thought this was a neat picture with the flag in the background!
The boy's summer cuts! So cute and dirty by 9 am.
Last this ADORABLE picture of my niece Jessica. Since I don't have tons of good news for myself, I can at least share the great news that my brother Cole and My friend Jessica are both expecting little ones in December, and my SIL Kristie just had a baby girl yesterday. Lots of babies!

Our trip to Kentucky

Me, my Mother and the boys made a impromptu trip to Kentucky when my Great Grandmother passed away. We had a good time aside from the reason we went. I thought the boys looked adorable all dressed up. Mason was bored and wouldn't humor me with a smile.
Trent always pulls off the cutest smiles though!
The last day we went to a State park and went on a Cave tour. This ended up being one of the best pictures from the trip. Both the boys and my mom look great. Definitely Scrapworthy!
My brave boy. I honestly did not think he would feed a horse. I was a bit nervous myself, but I let him do it. I don't want him scared of everything. He loved it and the horses were gentle. The expression on his face is priceless!
Yes, My Mother even got me to love on the horse even though I am a bit scared of them!

Family photo day.

Well it was a BEAUTIFUL Sunday afternoon and we were all dressed in new summer clothes going to church, so I thought it would be a great opportunity to get a Family photo. Apparently I was the only one who liked this idea! My pictures are not in order, I still haven't figured out how to post correctly.

I can not wait to scrap these pics of Mason. I was using a new lens and I really love the quality of the pics. He looks so care-free.

My sexy hubby, I really like this one, he hardly ever gets any good pictures.
And this was at the end of the day when we told him it was time to go home, not so care-free anymore!
I LOVE!!!!! this picture. Ideally I wanted a close sweet picture but this is what they gave me. Trent was refusing to humor me with pictures, but I love the arms crossed and Mason with his hands in his pocket....well he poses now! So funny!
Out of only 2 family shots they let me take, this one came out pretty good considering!
Me & My boys.
Eric is a hard one to get good pictures, but I really like this one. We kept telling him to clean his face because we thought he had a drink mustache, but it was not coming off. Is it possible he could be getting a mustache....my gosh the kid is only 10!
This picture is a perfect one to finalize my post. Smile, be happy and have a great week!

Spring is in the air!

We are so happy for Spring weather! The boys have been outside all week, it has been beautiful, aside from the few days it was a little chilly. They have already picked our first spring flowers. We have been to parks, played baseball, blew bubbles, and enjoyed fresh sand in the sandbox. Oh yes they even picked ALOT of fresh worms that I accidentally dug up.

We ended up giving Eric his Bday present early, we gave him a WII, that thing is so cool. I am lovin the tennis, it is so much fun.

I have a few new scrapbook pages that I am dying to share, BUT, I am going to enter them in Memory Makers Masters so I cant put them online anywhere. Hopefully you will just have to see them in a magazine (I wish!)

Off to get the boys ready for school!

My long week!

This has been such a hard winter for us. It seems like there is always at least one person sick at ALL times. Starting before winter in October, Mason and Trent were both admitted for Croup. The first ones the hospital had seen this season ( Our kids, NO!) Then there has been pink eye X3, 24hr flu x4, strep throat 1. Then we can add all the sinus, head colds, and random fevers for no reason other than to keep them home from school. Then this week Andy passed on his "flu" to me. This nasty viral infection has given me a terrible fever (up to 103) for almost 5 days now. I highly recommend liquid TheraFlu, my saving grace. I am feeling pretty good now until it wears off again. I pray that my fever will break tomorrow, and that no-one else in the house gets it.
Trent had been running a low fever and was acting fine, and the fever broke and now his whole body is covered in a rash, what is believed to be Roseola. It doesn't seem to bother him a bit.
But all this has kept me from working all week, and I haven't even been feeling good enough to scrap (you know I'm really sick now). On a good note I have lost 3lbs, that I'm sure will come right back!

I had to add a few pics of the boys "growing up". Mason had decided he wanted to cut his own nails, I was a bit worried he might lop of a big piece of skin, but It was so cute watching his determination and he actually ended up doing a great job, one less job for me now! Trent also decided he would try this, and you just cant tell that child no (am I right, dear?) and surprisingly he did ok, no blood, but he was started to breath kind of hard. Then he decided Mommy is better at it. I honestly don't mind the lap time I get when doing it.

I swear I am almost done....I posted a couple new layouts.
Okay thanks for reading...if you still are....

I am a Guest Designer!

Okay, so I have spent way to much time on this computer today. We have been searching for a vacation house. We are going to South Harbor, MI in July. I can't wait for summer, sun, sand, water, fireworks and lots of smiles. This winter has been forever long! Oh, Yes and Trent just started with a fever again today, it has only been a week since his last!

I am excited because I am privileged to be a Guest Designer for Personal Scrapper this month. I have been getting these kits for almost a year, and have loved every one. I love the forums and chatting with all the girls. It has been great and has really motivated me to start submitting my layouts and challenging me to do things that I wouldn't have otherwise....like this blog!
